/// If you are between 18 to 45 years of age then this Drive is for you!///
We have a very real easy way to help another out!
If you knew you had the ability to save a life, would you?
Norah is a 5-year old Jewish Girl from Alameda, California who was diagnosed with a rare genetic disease, Fanconi Anemia, and will need a life-saving bone marrow transplant. Are you her match?
Norah will most likely find a match among those with Jewish ancestry; Jews are under-represented in the registry like many other groups. Swabbing isn’t a commitment to being a donor. If matched, you have the choice to continue being a donor or not. Donating marrow is extremely low-risk, not unlike giving blood.
For your convenience, Chabad of Morristown will be hosting a drive/giving out swab kits for people aged 18-45 on February 26, 5:00-8:00 PM, where you will be able to stop by for a few minutes to do the free swab test. Pre-register for the Swab at Chabad of Morristown by clicking here:
With a simple cheek swab, you can (literally) save a life.
You can come alone or bring some friends – open to all!
